Upcoming Events
On March 6th I’ll be participating in “How to Have Supportive Conversations with Older Adults,” a panel hosted by the Department of Mental Health Western Mass Division and the Pioneer Valley Coalition for Suicide Prevention.
This Community Conversation is an in-person event at the Senior Center in Hadley, MA.
And on Saturday, March 16, at 1 pm, I’ll be doing a reading with Dr. Sarah Epstein, poet and author of Bar of Rest, at the oldest independent bookstore in the US — the Andover Bookstore, located at 74 Main St., Andover, MA. Hope you can join us for a conversation about our shared themes of love and loss, hope and community.

On November 10, 2023, I’ll be presenting a talk at my professional organization, the Private Practice Colloquium, called “The Therapist as Mourner.” I’ll talk about the myriad and deeply individual ways we find, each in our particular human body, to downshift or to uplift.
On Thursday, October 20th, I’ll be at Belmont Books in Belmont, MA (79 Leonard St.) from 7-8 pm. for a conversation with Maryanne O’Hara, author of Little Matches: A Memoir of Finding Light in the Dark.
Her memoir celebrates the short life of her daughter Caitlyn, who had cystic fibrosis. I’m looking forward to having a wonderful conversation with her and with attendees about how we can indeed find light in dark times.
I hope some of you can join us!
On Thursday, June 16th, I’ll be reading an excerpt of the book at the Roasted Granola Cafe from 7-9 pm. (1346 Mass Ave, Arlington, MA).
And on Wednesday, June 29th, I’ll be reading at the North Adams Public Library, from 6:00-7:30 pm. I am so very excited about the opportunity to celebrate Grace Street with old and new friends and family in a place I cherish.
I hope to see some of you there!
